Hey New Nail Tech: This Is My Advice to You

This e-book is written from real experience, not theory. Everything inside is based on my journey as a nail technician, nail salon owner, and nail tech instructor. No matter what titles I hold, I will always consider myself a nail tech first.

I have been doing nails for over 30 years and have owned and operated my own salon for more than 25 years. During that time I have seen the beauty industry change, grow, and evolve. I have also seen many nail technicians struggle with the same questions, challenges, and decisions while trying to build their careers.

This book was created for the nail technician who has been in the industry for a few years and is trying to figure out the next steps. Maybe you are building your clientele, trying to become more professional, or simply looking for guidance from someone who has already walked the path. Inside this e-book I share honest advice, lessons learned, and the mindset that helped me grow in this industry. Even if you are an advanced nail technician, you may still find value here. Sometimes we all need to hear certain things again, be reminded of the basics, or look at our careers from a different perspective.

This e-book includes 14 chapters, each one covering important topics that every nail technician should think about as they grow in their career. At the end of the book you will also find a workbook section designed to go along with each chapter. Every workbook chapter includes eight questions to help you reflect on what you learned.

You are encouraged to print the workbook pages and write your answers down. Take your time, go over your responses, evaluate your thoughts, and use the workbook to your advantage. It can also serve as something you keep and revisit whenever you need a reminder to stay focused and keep going.
